So I have really cool news.
A couple months ago we hit a Patreon goal: at $80/installment, I was planning to release a chapbook of poetry. This hasn't happened yet (and it's going to be a little further delayed) but there is an AMAZING reason why.
I've delayed the chapbook release because one of the poems I'd planned to include, "The Great", was under consideration for the Writer's Digest Annual Writing Competition (rhyming poetry division). I'd submitted it a little while ago and didn't want to jeopardize any printing possibilities, however slim the chance of winning.
This week I got an email.
Guys. I was awarded an honorable mention.
There were five thousand applicants in the overall competition. I get my name printed in Writer's Digest under the list of honorable mentions. I am so thrilled: I'm going to be seeking a different home for "The Great", so keep an eye out for more news on the subject.
